Rich Ashton was fortunate to begin his business career with legendary real estate developer Trammell Crow in 1973, where he gained a valuable foundation in ethical business practices and people development. He left to pursue small business ownership in 1983 and had success with several companies before purchasing a nearly bankrupt HVAC company in 1988. As with every company he has owned, he developed a culture of exceptional customer service and employee empowerment which has led to many employee successes. Most recently he created a training program to develop blue collar employees into skilled small business leaders. The program was so successful that those employees now run his companies and he has retired from daily activities. Rich is the author of "Growing Your Own, Common Sense Advice for Developing Leaders Within a Small Business." Rich and Rene' have been married for 44 years, have 2 grown sons and 4 beautiful grandchildren. They live in Arlington, Texas.
